Takeover Days for Young People in Europe (TO:day) is an Erasmus+ co-funded project for young people who want to get a taste of what it is like to lead important services and businesses. We are creating a toolkit to help set-up ‘Takeover Days’. A Takeover Day is where one or more young people ‘take over’ a key aspect of a service or business: for example, a public housing service, a TV station, museum, supermarket chain etc. The idea is based on the successful ‘Takeover Challenge from the UK and we are working with partners in the UK, Romania, Spain and Italy to introduce similar events in their countries.
